Summerset Wastewater Treatment Plant and Expansion

The expansion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) included new concrete treatment basins, along with upgraded equipment, electrical systems, controls, and supporting infrastructure. A greenhouse-style enclosure with an aluminum frame was constructed around the basins to improve efficiency and protect operations. The project also added lined sludge storage lagoons and included site work such as grading, utilities, process connections, fencing, and access road improvements.
Working with the City of Summerset and HDR, RCS Construction implemented more than $1 million in value engineering solutions to help keep the project on budget through design adjustments and cost-effective alternatives. These improvements increase capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and support reliable wastewater treatment services for the growing community.
