SDSTA Wastewater Treatment Plant
Construction Services for the SDSTA Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) Replacement Project encompasses a variety of essential construction activities aimed at upgrading the wastewater treatment facilities. This includes the demolition of specific sections of the existing RBC units and basins, which are being replaced to enhance the treatment process. In place of the existing systems, new Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) aeration basins will be constructed to improve biological treatment efficiency. A new Blower Building will be constructed to house the necessary equipment for air delivery, while blowers and a coarse bubble aeration system will be installed to support the aeration process within the basins. The project will also involve the installation of air piping connections, ensuring proper distribution of air throughout the treatment system. Additionally, process water piping will be installed to facilitate the proper flow of treated water throughout the plant. The electrical system for the new components will be fully integrated, ensuring the reliable operation of the equipment, while an advanced Instrumentation & Control system will be set up to monitor and control the treatment process effectively. Lastly, any incidental work related to the construction and installation of the above-mentioned systems will be carried out to ensure the project is completed to specification and within the required timeline.
