Special Olympics Bocce Complex

RCS Construction is proud to have helped bring the Special Olympics Bocce Complex to Rapid City. Conveniently located at the intersection of Omaha Street and Mount Rushmore Road, the facility features eight outdoor bocce courts that provide a dedicated space for athletic competition, training, and community recreation.

The complex was designed to give Special Olympics athletes a high-quality venue for practice and competition while also welcoming public use. Open to people of all ages and abilities, including individuals with disabilities, the facility promotes inclusivity and community engagement. Each court measures 12 feet by 60 feet and is designed to allow for “banking the ball,” similar to billiards, adding an extra element of strategy and enjoyment to the game. This project provides a valuable recreational asset for the Rapid City community while supporting opportunities for connection, participation, and accessible outdoor recreation.
