Pine Ridge Quarters Apartment

The Pine Ridge Quarters Apartment Building project involved the construction of a new residential facility within the Pine Ridge Indian Health Service (IHS) housing compound. This important development supports healthcare professionals serving the Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation by providing modern, high-quality housing accommodations.

The project included the construction of a 19,728-square-foot, single-story apartment building designed specifically as staff housing for the Pine Ridge Hospital. The building features a variety of housing options, including efficiency, one-bedroom, accessible one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, along with essential common areas. The scope of work also included comprehensive site development, such as excavation, utility installation, driveways, parking areas, and a geothermal well field to improve energy efficiency.

Valued at more than $4.4 million, this project provides modern housing that supports the recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals while strengthening the healthcare infrastructure serving the Pine Ridge community.
