Lawrence County Public Safety Center
The Lawrence County Public Safety & Services Center is a newly constructed 70,000 square-foot facility designed to serve the county's law enforcement and public safety needs. The building houses the Sheriff's Department and Administrative Offices, 911 Dispatch, and a jail with two-story inmate housing providing 130 beds. Additional features include holding and processing spaces, as well as a courtroom with supporting office space. Notably, RCS Construction played a key role in assisting Lawrence County with value engineering, resulting in over $3.3 million in cost savings for the project. The facility is designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve safety, and better serve the county’s public safety and judicial functions.
